Who needs a CVIP in Alberta?

How often is a CVIP required?
Annually. Buses carrying more than 10 passengers are inspected semi-annually.
What happens if the unit fails?
You get the findings with photos and a repair plan inside 48 hours. Approved repairs are done here and the unit is re-inspected, so you're not driving it to a second shop mid-process.
Can you do the CVIP and the NDT together?
Yes. NDT is coordinated with certified sublet partners rather than performed in-house, and it's normally scheduled alongside your CVIP or other yearly inspection.
